Jonny and his partner Jess opened Plonk’d, a Spanish-inspired tapas bar in Wadebridge, two years ago.
Finding the right chef proved trickier than expected, so Jonny took to the kitchen himself (thankfully, there’s help these days!) with guidance and support from chefs like Tony and Paul Ripley, who’ve both played a big part in shaping Plonk’d into what it is today.
They built Plonk’d around: bringing together great food, wine, and cocktails, all done to the same high standard, using the best local ingredients they can find.
Plonk’d is known for its laid-back atmosphere, creative small plates, and warm hospitality and Jonny still finds it slightly surreal (and pretty funny) that he’s now doing cooking demos at festivals.
