Ross Geach

Padstow Kitchen Garden
Ross Geach is a seventh-generation farmer, grower, and chef, best known as the founder of Padstow Kitchen Garden. Formerly head chef at Rick Stein’s, Ross now supplies the finest vegetables to top restaurants across Cornwall and beyond. A true advocate of seasonal, sustainable food, he bridges the gap between field and kitchen—harvesting in the morning and delivering to chefs by lunchtime.

Former Stein’s head chef Ross Geach is the owner and head grower at Padstow Kitchen Garden, supplying vegetables to top restaurants in Cornwall and beyond.

A seventh-generation farmer, Ross turned a hobby into a thriving business, harvesting in the morning and personally delivering to local chefs by lunchtime. He has written for The Telegraph’s gardening section, appeared on BBC Radio Cornwall’s Gardenline, and featured on BBC One’s Countryfile.

To stay connected to the kitchen, Ross hosts pop-up farm feasts and events, BBQ workshops, and Big Green Egg demonstrations using only farm-grown or reared ingredients.

Last year, Ross was made the UKs first Big Green Egg champion. This role sees him use his passion for and knowledge of cooking over fire around the world, including at Atlanta’s Eggtoberfest, a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Big Green Egg.

New for 2025, guests can now stay on Ross’ family farm in luxury Shepherd’s Huts, immersing themselves in the sustainable ethos at the heart of Padstow Kitchen Garden.
