All the chef demonstrations in the Chef’s Theatre are free to watch. There will be seated and standing spots allocated on a first come first serve basis. If you want to guarantee a seat, there is a limited number of VIP Chef’s Theatre tickets available to purchase in advance.

A former professional rugby player turned chef and food entrepreneur, Rupert Cooper swapped passes for plates seven years ago — and hasn’t looked back since. In 2019, he took the leap to purchase Philleigh Way Cookery School on the Roseland Peninsula, transforming it into one of Cornwall’s leading destinations for hands-on, flavour-packed cookery experiences.

Rupert’s food philosophy is simple: bold flavours, local ingredients, and dishes that bring people together. His passion for sharing good food and fire-led cooking shines through in every project he takes on.

In 2023, Rupert took on The Cove Café on Hayle Beach, reimagining a casual seaside spot into a vibrant foodie hub — earning national recognition when The Times named it the UK’s No.1 Beach Café.

And he’s not stopping there. His latest venture, Cooper’s Wine Bar in Redruth, pairs exceptional wines, beers and spirits with superb small plates — a true celebration of Cornish produce and convivial dining.
